Dr. Roberts is an associate professor from Auburn University and is the Director of the Molecular and Applied Sciences Laboratory here to share with us his talk titled "The Line-1 Jumping Gene: Hopping from Cancer Research to Exercise Science."

Here we have Dr. Lisa Langston, the Athletic Director of Fort Worth ISD and member of the Texas A&M Athletic Hall of Fame as a basketball and track star. Dr. Langston's talk is titled "Using Athletics to Optimize the Academic and Learning Experience of Student-Athletes" and focusses on the relationship between sports, studies, and how this translates professionally. 

Our sixth speaker from the 2018 Hilliard Discussion is Dr. Jeff Woods! As the Associate Dean for Research at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Dr. Woods shares with us how activity can regulate gut microbes to keep us healthier in his talk titled "The Power of Poop: Exercise and the Gut Microbiota."

Here we have our fifth video from the 2018 Hilliard Discussion! Up today from the Lundquist College of Business at the University of Oregon is Dr. T. Bettina Cornwell, the academic director of the Warsaw Sports Marketing Center and professor of marketing. Dr. Cornwell shares with us trends in childhood obesity and taste preference development in her talk titled "Taste the Future."

Today is the fourth video and audio rebroadcast of the 2018 Hilliard Discussion! We have Dr. Jeff Beeler from the Psychology Department at Queens College, CUNY. Dr. Beeler's talk is called "Dopamine: The Neural Chi" and discusses the effects of dopamine on activity and how we expend our energy.

For the third video and audio rebroadcast of the 2018 Hilliard Discussion we have Mr. Dan Acheson, the executive director and CEO of Drum Corps International. Mr. Acheson's talk is called "Getting in Step with the Largest Team on Campus" and discusses the fitness behind marching band professionals.
