Hilliard Discussion 10 on January 27, 2021, 7-8:30 pm CST!

The award winning Hilliard Discussions are back! But, there's a twist... Rather than the typical short lecture format, the Hilliard Discussions will be hosted as a debate.  (Pre-register here!)

What will this look like, you ask? Well, we will invite two experts on opposing sides of a certain topic in the area of sports medicine and human performance. Then, they will debate and respectfully argue their points backed by evidence from their research/experience. Sounds fun, I know!

Dr. Andrew YoungDr. Brian Nosek

Hilliard Discussion 10 (HD10) is scheduled for January 27th, 2021 from 7:00pm - 8:30pm when the Hilliard Discussion returns! Keep watching this space for the registration link and Click here for an informational video with all the information you need regarding HD10.

What is the topic you ask?  Our debate topic is "Does the Scientific Literature Inhibit Scientific Truth?" You may think this is dull and boring - but with all the concern with viruses, pandemics, and vaccines, it's important that we (ALL of US!) can rely on what is called 'science'!  So, join our two speakers as they debate the future of scientific publications...and participate by asking questions and taking part in our opinion polls!

Dr. Brian Nosek (above right; link to Bio) from the Center of Open Science and the University of Virginia will be arguing the "Pro" side of the question and Dr. Andrew Young (above left; link to Bio) from the U.S. Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine will be arguing the "Con" side of the question.
